The Serpent, The Sinner & The Saint
A webcomic that follows the adventures of three very different women in a fantastic version of 17th century Europe. (Rated R)
Can Disney sue over this one?
First off, yes, there's a new format to the Shorts and this comic is partly to blame. Part of the reason is because there needed to be uppercase and lowercase letters for me to write "Lucky" instead of "lucky", placing this nice leprechaun in line with the other Snow White Dwarves with names like "Happy", "Sleepy" or "Grumpy".
I also overdid the SSS branding on the Shorts - and furthermore this comic hardly fits into the SSSverse.
So why do this one? Well, for one I've gotten more experimental with the Shorts lately. And also, this joke has been in my brain for over three years now. I am listening to a podcast called "Comic Lab", where they sometimes have episodes of "Writer's room". There they discuss joke pitches, sometimes very specific, sometimes broader topics and in March of 2022, they talked about all kind of jokes on Leprechauns. For a brief moment they said "dating" and in my mind things immediately clicked, even as they went on to other ideas.
After three years of not being able to let go of this joke, it had to be let out.
