Squtch IS the perfect onomatopoeia.

It's the end of the journey of a brave little spider (lovingly named Giorgina). We met it first in strip 41 and it has been accompanying Carlotta on her travels ever since she left the courtesan house.
Giorgina led Carlotta to the map they needed to find this island and it also told Carlotta to go here.
And now, in its death, we know why.
