This is a bit off topic as it doesn't really fit in the SSS universe. After all, there's no orcs, elves or halflings running around (and there will never be), but I had the idea for that one - like a decade ago. I just re-remembered it recently - because games are still being made the very same way.
While the persons around you might tell you there's urgency, most games use triggers. Once you enter the room, shit hits the fan. But stay out of the room? Nothing will happen. Ever.
Technically in many RPGs, you could save the world by just never facing the final boss.
