#0061 - Our dog is on a farm now

There's always these lies your parents tell you when you're younger.

Apparently it's popular to tell kids that "the dog went to live on a farm" instead of telling them it died. There's many more things, of course. "The stork brings the babies" - popular choice. And let's not get into mythical creatures that bring presents!
When I realized this, I asked my dad what -actually- happened to our pet turtle that allegedly "ran away".
Well, the joke's on me. The lil one managed to actually do that after my grandmother put too much salad into his tank, enabling it to climb out. If you're still out there? Live the wild life, old friend!
